on famed ‘tax scam’ label TSG.  1619 Bad Ass Band’s 1976 self-titled album has become one of the most sought after releases.

 

Lead by bandleader Khalid Abdul Shalid with Phyllis Harris, sister of band bassist Carl Harris, on vocals takes over as the lead vocalist on two of the album highlights 'Just for You' and 'Rain (Always Finds Me Crying)'.  Other killers include 'I Am Mine', 'For A Taste Of Your Love' and the oustanding 'Nothing Can Stop My Loving'.
